Okalające go ulice zostały w całości odcięte i zabarykadowane oraz otoczone funkcjonariuszami. To właśnie decyzja tego organu, umożliwiająca prezydentowi ułaskawianie polityków skazanych z powodu fałszowania wyborów, wzbudziła falę ludowego gniewu.
Czekamy na komentarz specjalisty do spraw kryzysów konstytucyjnych – Mateusza Kijowskiego.

FOR THOSE WHO MAY WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT THE SITUATION IN MACEDONIA, HERE IS A BRIEF EXPLANATION:
1. The US is trying to get Macedonia into NATO in order not to have a gap in the alliance’s southern flank.
2. To do so, US must meet Greek demands to change Macedonia’s name and effectively erase Macedonia from the map (US does not care whether it is a state or a territory as long as it is under its control. Also, Greece has greater geo-strategic weight for Washington).
3. That means US must topple the ruling VMRO party in Macedonia, which is supported by the people (the party has won the last 9 elections).
4. Consequently, the US and its allies (Britain and Germany) subjected the Macedonian government and the people to „special warfare”.
5. They supplied the opposition SDSM party — led by actual criminals — with millions of secret recordings of government officials, instructing the SDSM to make the recordings public and muddy the officials reputation to force them to step down.
6. Concurrently, a Ukraine-like scenario was organized last year, but did not succeed because we the people stood against it en masse.
7. Another form of pressure was allowing Albanian terrorists from the US protectorate of Kosovo to enter Macedonia and conduct attacks. In Kumanovo last year, the Macedonian police neutralized a large group of terrorists, but lost 8 policemen. The police killed 14 killed terrorists, of which 4 were US and British instructors.
7. Despite being publicly blackmailed, the Macedonian government stood its ground and did not fully capitulate as demanded. However, it was forced to sign a US/EU-brokered agreement in Przhino, which imposes on the country a new body called „Special Prosecutor’s Office” (SJO). The SJO could arrest anyone and is practically above the law.
8. The Przhino agreement also calls for installing several un-elected opposition individuals as ministers. Foremost targeted was the ministry of internal affairs (police), in order to weaken it and prevent Macedonia from defending itself.
9. Finally, the Przhino agreement called for new elections in April 2016. The US intended for the SJO to arrest members of the government to prevent them from running (regardless of whether guilty of corruption or not). But that too did not succeed, because evidence came that showed actually the opposition being engaged in massive crimes, election fraud etc. So the elections were postponed for June 5.
10. Meanwhile the pressures continued, including criticisms by an entire caste of high level US/EU officials about Macedonia’s voter lists, media, rule of law. You’d think they talk about a major superpower not a country of 2 million people. The US/EU are now aware that the opposition SDSM can not win, that there are no obstacles to conduct elections, and the Macedonian people support the ruling VMRO (even if some officials have been corrupt). The actual massive crime is on the other side: supported as well as misused by the US embassy to further Washington’s goals.
11. The amnesty announced by President George Ivanov yesterday is a „reset” that brings back the opposition SDSM and the US into the game. It gives them back room to maneuver which they had previously lost. I am not sure whether Ivanov made the decision himself or was pressured to do so, but the result is the same.
12. The alleged „protest” by the Soros-backed hooligans today is a window dressing. On the one hand, it serves to paint a false picture, and on the other, it continues to keep Macedonia on the edge. But we the people were in far greater number on the streets,at least 15,000 protesting peacefully the vandalism by the Soros thugs.
I am told it is seems unrealistic to think we can solve the problem solely by holding elections on June 5, because the other side has declared a war and uses everything at its disposal to dismantle us as a country. Yet we, the citizens, have no choice, but to be peaceful to the end to avoid another Ukraine. If and when a line is crossed from which there is no return, many will be surprised how quickly the garbage will be disposed of.
